24. Buffalo Bills

Last season was filled with plenty of teams that emerged out of nowhere to become playoff contenders, and the Buffalo Bills ranked near the top of that list after the team ended up earning one of the playoff spots in the AFC, putting an end to their overdue drought. Now, the question becomes whether the Bills have what it takes to make a playoff push for a second year in a row, and while the defense should be one of the top units for a second year in a row, the offense is going to be the true difference maker.

Losing AJ McCarron to a shoulder injury this preseason was a crushing blow for Buffalo since the former Cincinnati backup was expected to be in the running for the starting job. With all due respect to Nathan Peterman and Josh Allen, there are still questions over whether either of these two have what it takes to make an impact for the Bills under center in 2018.

Moving on from Taylor at quarterback seemed like a wise decision for Buffalo at the time since they seemed to be focused on finding a new quarterback to build the franchise around. But if the Bills end up falling short of the playoffs as a result of poor quarterback play, it’s going to be pretty frustrating.
