26. Chicago Bears

During the 2017 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears pulled off one of the biggest surprises from the first round by trading up a spot to land former North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky. The main reason why this was such a surprise was due to the fact that Chicago recently spent a boatload of money on Mike Glennon in free agency, but at the end of the day, the potential seems greater with Trubisky.

Otherwise, Glennon wouldn’t have bounced around over the years while trying to find a team to stick with while Trubisky seems to be the kind of player that’s only going to continue getting better with experience. Numbers wise, Trubisky’s rookie season seemed like a train wreck, but also keep in mind the Bears didn’t exactly provide him with the best of weapons to work with.

As a sophomore, Trubisky will see a much improved offense after the team landed two big names in free agency with the signing of Allen Robinson and Trey Burton. Take this into consideration along with Trubisky having a top running back in Jordan Howard to work with as well, early signs point to the Bears quarterback seeing a big difference under center during year two.
