Philadelphia 76ers: Is the Kardashian curse on its way to Philly?
After being linked to singer Tinashe during the playoffs, Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons is now dating reality star Kendall Jenner.
Boy, today just keeps getting weirder for the Philadelphia 76ers.
After Brett Brown was rewarded for his efforts and patience with a new three-year contract extension, The Ringer broke a pretty unbelievable story about Sixers’ GM Bryan Colangelo using secret Twitter accounts to talk trash on his players while hyping up his own moves.
With seemingly everyone having an opinion on this story, from Colangelo’s denial of its validity, to Joel Embiid‘s endorsement of Sam Hinkie, to C.J. McCollum‘s attempt to use it as a bargaining chip to add a marquee star to the Portland Trail Blazers‘ backcourt, Philadelphia sports have been an hot topic across the web.

And don’t look now, but things just got a little bit weirder.
After being linked, and spending plenty of time with Nightride singer Tinashe during the NBA playoffs, it looks like should be Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons is officially dating Kendall Jenner.
While Simmons is obviously free to date whoever he wants, could he be inadvertently bringing the Kardashian curse to South Philly?
Say what you will about the Kardashian-Jenner family, and how they choose to market themselves, but one group that never comes out glowing when associated with the family are professional basketball players.
Whether it be the much-publicized fall from grace of Lamar Odom, Tristan Thompson‘s off-the-field issues since linking up with Khloe, or Kris Humphries unceremonious fall from grace after marrying Kim for like a day and a half, it has been pretty well-documented that E!’s first family and NBA ballers go together like oil and vinegar.
Or worse, like ketchup on a cheesesteak.
While Kendall is much less open about her love life, the Lil Dicky Freaky Friday music video star was previously romantically linked to All-Star forward Blake Griffin, and he got shipped from sunny Los Angeles to Detroit midway through their relationship.
Yikes, the curse must be real.
While the sample size isn’t very large, as the Kardashian/Jenner family has only dated nine basketball players, none of their teams won a championship while connected with the famous family.
Next: No C.J. McCollum, Joel Embiid isn’t going to Portland
Now granted, we have no idea how serious the couple even is, as this could just be a fun summer fling, but it’s safe to say things just keeep getting weirder.
