Ben Simmons records second triple-double in nine games for 76ers
By Dan Parzych
Thanks to another strong performance by Ben Simmons, the Philadelphia 76ers earned their fourth win in a row on Friday against the Indiana Pacers.
After losing four of five games to start off the year, there were some concerns surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers, and whether the team was heading towards another season of disappointment. All of a sudden, the Sixers appear to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA at the moment, and Ben Simmons is one of the main reasons as to why.

During Friday’s 121-110 win over the Indiana Pacers, Simmons was simply phenomenal for Philadelphia after finishing the game with 14 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. In fact, this marked the second time in nine games this season that Simmons finished with a triple double, with the first time coming back on Oct. 23 when the Sixers won their first game of the season against the Detroit Pistons.
Seeing someone like Simmons record two triple-doubles this early on in his career shows just how special of a player he truly is, and the best part for Philadelphia is this is just the beginning of what is expected to be a very promising NBA career for the former LSU standout. And to think there were concerns surrounding Simmons when it comes to being effective at the NBA level, which obviously isn’t the case when looking at how quickly he’s been able to make an impact in just nine regular season games with the Sixers.

It was one thing for Simmons to look healthy throughout training camp after missing all of last year with a foot injury, but what’s been able to accomplish so far is just ridiculous. Thanks to another triple-double by Simmons against the Pacers, the Sixers not only earned their fourth win in a row, but the team finally has a winning record (5-4) at the moment for the first time in what seems like forever.
