3. Exploit Washington’s banged up secondary

Both of the Redskins’ top cornerbacks, Josh Norman and Bashaud Breeland, have been dealing with nagging injuries this season, and their status remains very much uncertain for Monday night.

More from Philadelphia Eagles

Norman, arguably the Skins’ best player, is currently dealing with a rib injury, and if he is unable to go in Week 7, it could be great news for Alshon Jeffery.

In the Eagles’ Week 1 game against the Redskins, Jeffery was shadowed by Norman for much of the afternoon and was limited to only three catches for 38-yards and no touchdowns.

But if Jeffery doesn’t have to face off against Norman in the team’s Week 7 rematch, it could result in No. 17 having his first breakout game as a member of the Eagles, and may even be the game where he finally eclipses the century mark in midnight green.

While Norman and Breeland did both returned to practice this week on a very limited basis, their status for the Monday night matchup still remains very much up in the air. And even if one or both of the players do end up playing on Monday night, they will most certainly not be playing at 100 percent, a major advantage for the Eagles and their plethora of offensive playmakers.

In addition to defending Philadelphia’s much improved outside receivers, opposing teams are also going to have to start keying in on Zach Ertz, arguably the leagues best tight end, and a much improved Nelson Agholor. Those two have absolutely gashed opponents across the middle of the field this season and have already combined for eight touchdown catches in only six games.

Regardless of how Washington attempts to shut down Philadelphia’s aerial attack, expect Wentz to take what the defense gives him, and pick apart the Redskins’ banged-up secondary with surgical precision
