You know what time it is, the Section 215 staff make our predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

For the first time this season, the staff is split in our decisions in what will happen. While we all want the Philadelphia Eagles to take it to that other Pennsylvania team it’s going to be a tough matchup where the birds will likely have to grind out a result. Without further ado, here are the staff predictions for this one. As always we award one point for a correct prediction with an extra point awarded for a “spot on” prediction.

Jim Wicker 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 19 Pittsburgh Steelers 29 – The Eagles defense will have one of their biggest tasks of the season, and the key may be if the front seven can keep DeAngelo Williams under control.

Ethan Weinstein 1 point: Philadelphia Eagles 17 Pittsburgh Steelers 24 – Wentz has a great game but Jalen Mills can not cover Antonio Brown and the Steelers steamroll the Eagles’ secondary.

More from Philadelphia Eagles

Hayden Hoskins 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 23 Pittsburgh Steelers 20 – Big Ben will be under pressure all day and will get sacked five times. Deangelo Williams held to under 80 total yards. Wentz has a mediocre day but doesn’t make any big mistakes. Throws for 200 yards and one touchdown.

George Konoledon 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 10 Pittsburgh Steelers 24 – Carson Wentz goes up against his toughest test in the Steelers, and fails for the first time in his career. The Steelers defense will be too much for the rookie, who will finally give up his first turnover. On the flip side, the Eagles defense will have to get star performances from the defensive line to weather the passing attack. Big Ben and Antonio Brown will have a field day with this secondary.

Paul Catrino 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 31 Pittsburgh Steelers 28 – Carson Wentz’s control of the offense will continue to power the Birds forward in a shootout at the Linc. Neither defense will prove to be dominant as both squads will find relative success on the ground. Big Ben will be strong and Pittsburgh will lead most of the game through a stellar outing from Antonio Brown. I’m calling for a long Sturgis field goal to set up the two-minute drill led by Wentz that propels Philadelphia to a 3-0 start.

Larry Henry 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 14 Pittsburgh Steelers 24 – Unfortunately the Eagles have nobody to cover Antonio Brown. With the lack of depth in the secondary, it makes it even tougher. Wentz throws for 201 with a TD to Agholor and an INT. Ryan Mathews runs for 70 and a TD as well.

Anthony Mazziotti 2 points: Philadelphia Eagles 24 Pittsburgh Steelers 27 – Birds lose a tough one at home. Big Ben throws two touchdowns DeAngelo runs for one and the Steelers add two field goals. Carson Wentz plays well but finally looks like a rookie throwing his first INT. Throws for one touchdown Barner adds his first and Darren Sproles returns a punt for a TD.

Frankie Sorrentino 1 point: Philadelphia Eagles 17 Pittsburgh Steelers 31 – Big Ben and the Steelers will attack rookie Jalen Mills and have a field day. Wentz and the offense will be able to move the ball down the field but it won’t be enough to keep up with the Steelers offense.

Next: Philadelphia Eagles Face Their First Real Test Sunday

I’m still sitting on one point after failing to correctly predict the Eagles win over the Bears last week. It taught me  not to pick against the birds so this week I’m calling a 34-32 Philadelphia Eagles win. While the Steelers have one of the best offenses in the league and Antonio Brown can do whatever he wants on the football field their secondary is suspect at best.

The Steelers have allowed 347.5 pass yards per game as their defense has detiorated and Carson Wentz will have a field day with his new pal, Trey Burton. Expect some offensive fireworks in this one but hold on because it’s going to be a wild ride.
