Carson Wentz has his paper toss video broken down with great detail.

Carson Wentz was once an awkward teenager. Awkward teenagers do awkward things. Carson Wentz did an awkward thing. On March 30th, 2011, Carson Wentz and his friends made one of the best decisions of their lives by making a YouTube video titled “GARBShotz: Crazy Paper Toss”.

The four minute, thirty-nine second video showed Wentz and his friends throwing paper balls “into” garbage cans from ridiculous range. I’ve never been to North Dakota, but from the looks of this video it seems amazingly uneventful.

Three North Dakota kids doing what any kid would do, make embarrassing YouTube videos. It’s almost certain that these three banked on nobody ever finding the video, but thanks to the power of the internet and insane fans of the Philadelphia Eagles, greatness was finally uncovered.

You can watch the video right here:

It’s breakdown time.

Intro

The key to an embarrassing YouTube video is a terrible introduction, and Wentz did not disappoint. The video begins with Wentz on the left of the garbage can. Another kid pops out of the garbage can and all three throw their paper balls. The song “Kids” by MGMT is blaring in the background. Wentz’ form on the first throw is a little questionable.

More from Philadelphia Eagles

He tosses the paper ball like he’s throwing a hook shot. It’s almost as Wentz didn’t care where the paper ball would end up. Not something the Philadelphia Eagles want to see from their supposed franchise quarterback.

Wentz is then formally introduced as Carson “Can’t Miss” Wentz. D- grade for originality.

First Throw

Wentz is seated on a couch in the middle of the trio. In a cringe-worthy scene, he turns is head to the camera and all three proceed to throw the paper balls. Wentz’ form is a lot better here. As he rears back to throw, his shoulders are tight and the release has a perfect follow through.

No telling who’s paper ball fell first, but based on Wentz arm strength it’s safe to say his landed before the others.

Second Throw

So Wentz’ next throw comes at 1:15. It’s not really a throw, rather a field-goal style kick. Wentz takes a hop step, kicks it with his right foot sending a line drive that hit off the back part of the trashcan and fell in.

Versatility is rare in football anymore, and luckily the Philadelphia Eagles have some backup in case Caleb Sturgis were to go down with an injury.

Third Throw

In what may be the greatest throw in this video, Carson Wentz digitally sends the paper into the trashcan. Wentz is on the laptop, sending a picture of the paper ball from his cjwentz@hotmail.com email to TRASH@TRASH.COM (turn your caps lock off, Carson).

At first look, there’s no possible way that the ball could end up in the trashcan. But Carson Wentz defies odds. He courageously hits the send button and amazingly, the ball indeed finds its way into the garbage can.

Fourth Throw

His next throw is at 2:18. Great quarterbacks show toughness. The Philadelphia Eagles obviously found themselves one as Wentz bravely sits in the snow in shorts for his next shot.

Wentz throws paper, and shows off his mobility by being at the garbage can as the ball lands inside. The Philadelphia Eagles are known for having mobile quarterbacks, but I’m not sure anyone has shown that kind of quickness.

Fifth Throw

Next throw at 3:00. Wentz, in a Michael Myers-Halloween type way, glares into the souls of those watching the video then hits the ball off the wall with a racquet. The ball is perfectly passed to his teammate who hits it with a racquet himself.

Obviously a great team player.

Sixth Throw

The sixth throw is just Wentz showing off. Doing his best Tim Tebow impression, Wentz hits a bomb with a baseball bat that lands into the garbage can.

Wentz’ versatility is off the charts now. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders step aside, the new king of athletics is here.

Seventh Throw

The final throw for Wentz was titled “Right back to ya”. It was a daring throw, having all three members make it into different garbage cans. Nonetheless it was accomplished, with Carson Wentz leading the way. Wentz’ form was pretty enough to make doves cry, showing his potential to be a superstar early.

Next: What To Watch In Season Opener

Wentz completed all seven of his throws with ease, and his form progressed throughout the day. It’s clear that the Philadelphia Eagles made the right decision sending a haul of picks for the rookie quarterback. Let’s just hope we see this performance throughout the season.
