5. The white jerseys really aren’t working

Prior to the regular season beginning, we learned that Nike was having a strange issue upgrading the Eagles’ midnight green jerseys to their Nike Elite 51 technology. In their place, Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that the Eagles would be wearing both their white jersey and black alternate jersey until their midnight green jerseys had been upgraded. That hasn’t exactly happened.
For the first five games of the season, the Eagles have worn only their white jerseys, which aren’t awful, but don’t do much for anyone. The midnight green jerseys were originally supposed to return this Sunday night against the New York Giants, but according to Dave Spadaro of Eagles.com, the Eagles will break out their black alternate jerseys this weekend instead. What that means for the return midnight green jerseys isn’t exactly clear.
What is clear, is we’ve all grown tired of the white jerseys, and would probably all prefer that the Eagles scrap the revamped midnight green jerseys and have Nike start on a new Kelly green jersey.
