The Eagles have had a lot of issues with second-year player Jalen Carter, who has all of the potential in the world but can't seem to stay out of his own way. During Sunday's win over the Steelers, Carter once again found himself at the center of drama.

Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni is known for his flamboyant antics, and assistant coach Clint Hurtt had to get in the middle of an altercation.

Based on the way this looks, it wouldn't be a surprise if Carter faced some sort of discipline, though it's not clear exactly what caused the issue.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter Has Altercation with Nick Sirianni

Originally the ninth-overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Carter has 23 tackles and 4.5 sacks so far this year. He was dominant at Georgia and mans the middle of the defense, yet he's had problems adjusting to the speed of the NFL.

This is a player with all of the talent in the world. However, his behavior troubles aren't new and speak to a larger issue at hand.

If the Eagles are going to threaten the Eagles for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and potentially another Super Bowl appearance, these troubles need to be addressed. Carter can't be fighting with his coach, though admittedly Siriani doesn't come off like the easiest person in the world to play for.

Sometimes things happen in the heat of battle. That's understandable, and Carter was seen hugging Sirianni following the skirmism. Regardless, it's a bad look for a team trying to remain focused on the ultimate goal.

Considering the drama between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown, this is merely the latest example of unneccessary problems that distract from the ultimate goal. Unless Sirianni can figure his locker room out, it's hard to imagine this team overcoming obstacles in the postseason to hoist a Lombardi Trophy.
