The Philadelphia Eagles are one win away from getting back to the Super Bowl after a one-season hiatus. After impressive wins at the Linc over the Packers and the Rams, Philadelphia is hosting their division rivals, the Washington Commanders, in a massive game.

Even though the two sides are extremely familiar with one another, the playoffs are an entirely different beast. There will be key takeaways from the team's two regular-season games and how each performed down the stretch.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Eagles are overwhelming 6.5-point favorites to make the Super Bowl. Even though an Eagles victory is likely, the offense needs to be much-improved to keep up with the high-scoring Commanders attack.

Eagles vs. Commanders Prediction: Expect a High-Scoring Affair

This is a particularly bad matchup for the Commanders. Washington's run defense has been a disaster in recent weeks. It's hard to imagine Saquon Barkley not feasting on Sunday. In the two regular-season games against the Commanders, Barkley ran for a total of 296 yards and scored four touchdowns. Plus, Jalen Hurts hasn't been turning the ball over and can still make plays with his legs. Even while Philadelphia's passing game isn't working, they pose a real threat to their rivals.

In their second matchup of the season, the Eagles scored 33 points on the Commanders despite Jalen Hurts leaving the game in the first quarter. Philadelphia scored 22 points and 28 points in their two postseason games, against much better opponents, despite the passing game not clicking. Assuming that AJ Brown is feeling better and the weather conditions will be better, the Eagles should have no problem putting points on the board.

The Commanders have a real tendency to turn their games into shootouts. Jayden Daniels is doing things we have never seen from a rookie QB before. His poise under pressure has been nothing short of a miracle. Their offense has ranked in the top ten in rushing and passing by DVOA, and they have been excellent on late downs all season. They will likely continue scoring against the Eagles, as they did in their Week 15 matchup.

All of these factors point to a high-scoring affair where the Eagles will likely come out on top.
