The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl Champions, however, they can't bask in the celebrations forever.

Just like the other 31 NFL teams, the Eagles have a plethora of decisions they must make this offseason. Several Philadelphia players' futures with the franchise are up in the air, including veteran pass rusher Bryce Huff following an incredibly disappointing 2024 performance.

After signing a three-year, $51 million contract with the Eagles last offseason, Huff is officially a trade candidate this offseason. Although finding a team willing to take on the next two years of his contract might not be easy, general manager Howie Roseman will be happy knowing he has at least two perfect trade partners who might be willing to make a deal.

Eagles Should Trade Bryce Huff to 49ers, Falcons

When it comes to a potential offseason Huff trade, the San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons would both be the perfect partners for the Eagles.

The 49ers shouldn't be that shocking of a potential destination given that Huff is more than familiar with Robert Saleh, their recently hired defensive coordinator. After all, Saleh was the New York Jets head coach during Huff's final three seasons with the franchise – a stretch that saw the latter tally 28 solo tackles, 15.5 sacks, two defended passes, and a forced fumble in 40 games.

The ex-Memphis Tigers' best performance under Saleh came in 2023. It was a breakout performance for Huff that year as he set personal bests in solo tackles (19) and sacks (10.0) while finishing with an 86.8 pass rush grade on Pro Football Focus.

Interestingly enough, newly hired Falcons DC Jeff Ulbrich was also on the Jets' staff during Huff's 10-sack season. The San Jose, CA native also coordinated New York's defense while working under Saleh, meaning Ulbrich might have enough sway to encourage GM John Lynch to strike a deal with the Eagles.

According to Spotrac, Huff will carry a $7.5 million cap hit in 2025. That number wouldn't be an issue for the 49ers, who have $50.3 million to spend this offseason. Having said that, the Falcons would need to do some contract restructuring given that they're currently $8.6 million over the cap.

Even though a trade isn't guaranteed, the 49ers and Falcons are worth monitoring when it comes to Huff's future. Having said that, the Eagles and the rest of the NFL must wait to make trades until the new league year begins on Wednesday, March 12.
