The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl this past February. Despite that being the case, at least one coach around the league appears to have already forgotten about that title run.

During an appearance on FanDuel TV's Up & Adams with Kay Adams, Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about the hierarchy of rivalries within the NFC North before he pivoted and proclaimed one of Green Bay's division rivals to be the "class of the NFC."

As you can see from the video below, LaFleur was referring to the Detroit Lions with that statement. Those same Lions who failed to advance to the NFC Championship game after falling to the Washington Commanders in the playoffs. Let's not forget that the Packers were eliminated from the playoffs by the Eagles this past year.

Packers Head Coach Has Ridiculous Eagles Take

No one doubts that Detroit is a great football team. You cannot go 15-2 and just be lucky. However, to say the Lions are the class of the NFC is an egregious suggestion for LaFleur to make. Until they are dethroned, the Eagles aren't just the class of the NFC but the class of the entire NFL.

Beyond Philadelphia's title run, the league is trying to come together to ban a play that the Eagles are too effective at. The movement to ban the "tush push" hit a roadblock on Wednesday after the league failed to secure votes in favor of the play being banned.

Fortunately for Nick Sirianni and company, the Eagles will have the opportunity to remind LaFleur just how dominant of a team they are when the two sides meet in front of the entire football-watching world in a Week 10 Monday Night Football matchup at Lambeau Field.
