Line #3: Scott Laughton — Morgan Frost — Tyson Foerster

Scott Laughton is one of the best third-liners in the NHL. The 29-year-old is coming off the best season of his life, tallying career-highs in goals (18), assists (25), and points (43). He's also a terrific penalty killer, only further solidifying his spot in the Flyers' lineup.

Morgan Frost also took a big jump during the 2022-23 season, having a career year as he recorded 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points. Although he could potentially play on the second line, too, pairing Frost with Laughton could make for one of the best scoring third lines in the league.

Speaking of offensive capabilities, adding Tyson Foerster to this line makes a ton of sense. The rookie forward played eight games with the Flyers when he was called up in March, recording three goals and four assists. It's a small sample size, but I could see Foerster being a 35- to 40-point player on this line this year.

Line #4: Nicolas Deslauriers — Ryan Poehling — Garnet Hathaway

There aren't any surprises on the fourth line. Nicolas Deslauriers was solid in the role last year and is counted on by the Flyers to help police the opposition. Garnet Hathaway joined the team on a two-year deal over the summer after a season with the Boston Bruins and should be one of the main penalty killers.

Ryan Poehling has been centering the aforementioned duo throughout training camp and the preseason, so I expect more of the same on opening night. The free-agent signing is on a one-year 'prove yourself' deal after playing to 14 points in 53 games with the rival Pittsburgh Penguins.
