Travis Kelce Drops Major Hint on Jason Kelce's Eagles Future
The NFL announced on Monday that the Philadelphia Eagles will be playing the first-ever game in Brazil to kick off Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season. The game will be played on Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, marking the first time the league will host a game on Friday night of Week 1 in 50-plus years.
There have been rumors swirling surrounding Jason Kelce's future in the NFL. Many fans thought Kelce played his last snap as a pro but nothing has been made official, and now Kansas City's Travis Kelce is giving some Eagle fans hope.
Travis addressed the media during Super Bowl LVIII Opening Night. At one point during the press conference, the 34-year-old was asked about his brother's future, who many believed would be retiring. However, Travis hinted that Jason would be on the sideline for the Eagles in the Week 1 affair in Brazil.
“I think so. I don’t know. I’m not a betting man, but I think he’s got some football left in him,” said Kelce of his brother suiting up in Week 1 next season.
Jason has been an anchor along the offensive line since 2011. Despite being 36 years old, the Cincinnati product is still among the most impactful players on the field. Across his career, Kelce has six First-Team All-Pro selections and seven Pro Bowl appearances under his belt.
In 2023, Kelce played in 1,108 total snaps, logging a PFF grade of 80.7. He only committed six penalties and allowed one sack.
He still has gas in the tank and could be back in the city of Brotherly Love for another shot at bringing home a Lombardi Trophy in 2024.
