Like all 32 teams in the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles' top brass has turned their attention to the draft. The 2024 NFL Draft is only three weeks away, meaning teams and prospects will use this time to meet and hold pre-draft visits and workouts.

The Eagles have already met with a few prospects and some names have emerged as potential draft picks for the Birds in the upcoming draft. However, sometimes things don't work out and teams don't get to meet with a player they had their eyes on.

That is exactly what is happening with the Eagles and Northern Iowa defensive lineman Khristian Boyd. According to Jake Rabadi of The Liberty Line, Boyd, who had a top-30 visit scheduled with Philly, will not meet with the team.

2024 NFL Draft Rumors: Northern Iowa DL Khristian Boyd Cancels Top-30 Visit With Eagles

Rabadi later clarified to say that this doesn't have anything to do specifically with the Eagles. Boyd reportedly has visits scheduled with "about half of the NFL" and will not have time to meet with Philadelphia.

This could be true and it may just be a case of a scheduling issue. However, it's frustrating to see a prospect in a position of need shun the Eagles. Following the retirement of Fletcher Cox, Philadelphia could take a flyer on an unheralded defensive tackle.

Boyd didn't receive an invite to the NFL Combine, but he is the type of prospect Howie Roseman likes to take a flyer on with a Day 3 selection. With the visit not taking place, Roseman may have to set their eyes on another interior defensive lineman.
