There may not be a team that will be more aggressive in the offseason than the Philadelphia 76ers. The 76ers are expected to have around $55.5 million available in cap space and they want to build a championship-caliber squad around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

There were rumors that Philly was going to be interested in Paul George if he touched the open market but that has faded away recently.

Now the latest reports have revealed that the 76ers inquired about a star wing who is expected to be moved this offseason.

76ers Have Expressed Some Interest in Zach LaVine

NBCSports Chicago reporter K.C. Johnson wrote a piece on the Bulls being active on all fronts as we head towards the NBA Draft.

They are looking to move on from Zach LaVine and Chicago's vice president of basketball operations Artūras Karnišovas has included him in a flurry of packages.

"Karnišovas has floated as many as 15 proposals centered on the two-time All-Star guard to various teams including the Sacramento Kings, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic and Philadelphia 76ers."

LaVine does have some question marks surrounding him. He's constantly dealt with injuries throughout his career, has one playoff appearance, and has a massive contract.

He's scheduled to make $43 million next season, $45.9 million in 2025-26, and $48.9 million in 2026-27. Meanwhile, he underwent season-ending foot surgery last season.

That's a lot of money to shell out for an injury-prone player when you already have one on the roster in Embiid.

Just because they've expressed interest in LaVine doesn't mean they'll actually trade for him. Frankly, I would be surprised if they did.

This showcases Philly's plan to be aggressive over the course of the offseason and they won't be afraid to gauge the price tag on available players around the league.
