In a virtual "must have" game for the Eagles, the centerpiece of the offense is going to be far from 100%, if going at all.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in as big of a panic spot as you can be for a team in control of their own division. They sit at 10-3 with a hold on the NFC East, but 2 of those losses have happened back-to-back against the NFC contending San Francisco 49ers and rival Dallas Cowboys. And losses is a relative term, because the Birds were not in contention at any point in this game.

Going into Monday night, there are already plenty of concerns surrounding the franchise. In the shadows, they've made a change to the helm of the defense, giving Matt Patricia the keys seemingly overnight. The injuries are piling up as defenders Darius Slay and Zach Cunningham have already been ruled out for the game.

But now there are reports of a "flu-like" bug that is hovering, and it has claimed star quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Eagles News: Jalen Hurts Almost Didn't Travel to Seattle

Per Ian Rapoport, Hurts was feeling weak enough that he almost didn't even travel to Seattle for Monday's game against the Seahawks.

Hurts ended up not traveling with the team, but did make his own way to Seattle.

Rap does preface this by stating his belief that Hurts will go tonight, because that's "what he does," but this is still a major concern for a struggling Eagles offense.

Considering the streak of performances we have seen from the Eagles in these last two games, this is about as close to a "must have" game as you can have for the Birds. Due to yesterday's results, they are locked into the playoffs. But everyone knows how key having one, maybe two, home playoff games is in route to a Super Bowl championship. It's imperative that, if Hurts plays, he balls out and captures a victory.

Luckily for Eagles fans, Seattle has quarterback health issues of their own and Drew Lock will start in place of Geno Smith.

That leaves the Eagles as favorites even in a road game, although the betting odds for this one point to it being a closely contested matchup in primetime.
