After an exciting offseason that saw many changes on both sides of the ball, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to report to training camp next week at the NovaCare Complex. Fans are excited to see all the new players, including star running back Saquon Barkley, who joined Philly in free agency.

Barkley will be one of the major focal points on the Eagles’ offense this season as he’s looking to prove that he’s still one of the best running backs in the league. As he prepares for his first training camp with the Eagles, Barkley has been working out with multiple players across the league.

In a picture posted on Instagram (h/t John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia), Barkley was recently working out with his brother and Detroit Lions running back Craig Reynolds.

It’s not unusual to see different players train together as iron sharpens iron. However, this is notable as Reynolds is from Willow Grove, PA, which is not far from Philadelphia.

The Eagles do not play the Lions this season, so fans don’t need to worry about Reynolds trying to take some of Barkley’s moves. However, for Reynolds, this is a dope opportunity to learn from one of the best RBs in the NFL.

Reynolds was stellar as the Lions’ third running back last season, posting 226 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. He won’t have a large role in Detroit since they have David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. But anything he can pick up from Barkley could help him get more playing time.

Meanwhile, when it comes to Barkley, he likely wants to set the tone immediately and help the Eagles get back to where they were a couple of years ago, playing in the Super Bowl.
