The Phillies added an impressive prospect to their farm system, signing Cuban shortstop Denilson Águila.
With Philadelphia looking to retool and provide a competitive team for the long-haul, Águila represents a high-upside prospect that could impact the major league club within the next half-decade.

Águila, who left Cuba in 2021, can bat from both sides of the plate with strong defensive and physical tools.
He's earned three walks in four plate appearances with Boca Raton so far, showcasing an impressive plate discipline as well.

MLB.com currently ranks Philadelphia's farm system as the 23rd-best in baseball, so taking shots at high-upside prospects like Águila is good business.
