The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to rebound in 2024 after they had a disappointing season last year.

All players reported on July 23 for the start of training camp as they began practicing for the highly anticipated upcoming season.

The Eagles have a lot of new players who will suit up in the Philadelphia green, looking to make an impact. With the team in the second week of training camp, a new arrival is already pushing for a starting job and caught the attention of wide receiver AJ Brown.

Eagles News: Isaiah Rodgers Caught the Attention of AJ Brown

In an interview posted on the team website, Brown is seen raving about cornerback Isaiah Rodgers.

"He’s been doing a really good job for a guy who hasn’t played football in over a year. He looked like he hasn’t missed a beat. He’s challenging me every time I go against him. When I watch him on film you can tell he just loves the game. You can tell he misses the game, too. And he’s hungry … He’s going to be a huge piece for us, gives us some energy on the backend."

After sitting out the whole 2023 season, Rodgers was reinstated by the NFL in April for violating the NFL's gambling policy.

Now after a year away from the game, he is bringing passion onto the field for the Birds, which is most needed in the secondary.

Not only is he impressing Brown but he's caught the attention of the coaching staff. He's been getting first-team reps in practice.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said he hopes the choice for starting CB becomes obvious but with Rodgers, Kelee Ringo, and Quinyon Mitchell all getting some time with the ones this summer, it sounds like it will be a tough decision for the team.

But after the way the secondary played in 2023, this is a pleasant surprise for Philly.
