The Philadelphia Eagles have had an eventful offseason thus far, making quality additions ahead of the 2024 campaign.
One rather surprising move came when the Eagles traded for QB Kenny Pickett to be the new backup QB for Jalen Hurts.
Many people around the league thought Pickett would be competing with Russell Wilson to become the starting quarterback for the Steelers in 2024 but things took a turn.
Reports came out that Pickett's reaction to Wilson's signing led to him being traded, but the 25-year-old spoke with reporters about that situation.

Pickett was asked how handled Wilson being signed by the Steel City and gave his first public statement.
He said, "I'm confident in the way that I handled it. I handled it the way I should have handled it. I'm excited to be here, it worked out so well that Philly was the place that I ended up in. I think everything happens for a reason."
The Pittsburgh product also answered to the reports that he refused to dress as the emergency third QB against the Seattle Seahawks last season.
Pickett stated, "There was a plan there for that game. It went down exactly the way it was planned to go down that entire week. I was coming off the ankle surgery so it is what it is."

The 2022 first-round pick can finally turn the page on that chapter of his career and focus on being the best quarterback he can be as the No. 2 behind Jalen Hurts.
Pickett hasn't had the best start to his career but now has the opportunity to just develop without the pressure of being a starting quarterback in 2024.
