More than any other opponent in the NBA, time is the Philadelphia 76ers' biggest enemy. With less than a month left before the start of the playoffs, the Sixers desperately need their superstar back to help carry them into contention.

Any game without their big man in the middle is a huge mountain to climb for the Sixers. They failed to find a solution without him carrying the load on both ends of the floor as they fell to 12-23 with Embiid on the sidelines. For reference, they are 26-8 with him active on the roster.

As a result, Philadelphia has fallen all the way to eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They seemingly have a solid cushion between them and the ninth-seeded Chicago Bulls, but their goal is to get out of the Play-In Tournament and get at least the sixth seed.

The latest update to Joel Embiid's status could perhaps give Sixers fans some hope for their reigning MVP to be back to 100% by the time playoffs come.

Sixers News: Philadelphia Hopes Embiid Can Be Back in 2-3 Weeks

According to John Clark of NBC Sports, the hope for Embiid is for him to be back in 2-3 weeks.

The Sixers' last regular-season game is on April 14, in a little over three weeks. If Embiid can come back in this time frame and get a few regular season games in before the postseason (hopefully playoff but more likely Play-In), that is the best we can all hope for.

The Sixers desperately need Embiid to return to action as soon as possible as their chances of a deep postseason run rest on his shoulders. They currently have the sixth-best odds in the Eastern Conference to make the NBA Finals with +2000 odds.
