Jalen Hurts' Status Against Seahawks Leaked Ahead of Kickoff
By Joe Summers
After concern all weekend that star QB Jalen Hurts wouldn't play on Monday Night Football against the Seahawks, it appears he'll be active and start for the Eagles.
Hurts reportedly fought an illness over the last few days, even traveling separate from the team to Seattle to ensure he didn't get anyone sick.
He's now arrived at Lumen Field and is here to ease fans' concerns.
Eagles Injury News: Jalen Hurts to Start Vs. Seahawks
The Eagles hope to snap a two-game losing streak following disappointing performances against the Cowboys and 49ers, so a clean bill of health for Hurts is a clear priority.
An MVP candidate for the second straight year, Hurts has 3,192 passing yards with 19 TDs while adding 460 yards and another 12 TDs on the ground, making him one of the NFL's most dynamic weapons.
It remains to be seen if Hurts will be limited in the contest, though he looked confident walking into the stadium.
Perhaps this will turn into Hurts' version of the Michael Jordan "Flu Game" or perhaps he's gotten over the illness. Whatever the case, his ability to play makes the Eagles big favorites to win the game.
If Hurts propels Philly to a victory, the Eagles will be right back in the race for the NFC's No. 1 seed and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.
