It hasn't been a great week in the city of Brotherly Love. The Eagles collapsed on Monday Night Football to the Atlanta Falcons, falling 22-21 in their home opener.

They have now shifted gears and are focused on their Week 3 contest against the undefeated New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome.

The Eagles will need to elevate their play if they want to go on the road and take down the Saints. Everyone knows they have the talent to do so but will need to bounce back on Sunday. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is the leader of this team so everything falls back on him.

He spoke to the media on Wednesday but revealed he's still dealing with some kind of sickness.

Eagles News: Jalen Hurts Still Getting Over a Sickness

Hurts was asked about his hoarse voice and said he's been dealing with "something" from last week but he's still not completely over it.

This isn't anything that caused him to miss practice, but a quarterback not having his voice isn't ideal. They have to call out every play in the huddle, call out protections while also yelling to hike the ball. So having a hoarse voice when you're traveling to one of the loudest stadiums in the league isn't ideal.

Thankfully, it's only Wednesday and he'll have a couple more days until it's game time. One clear thing is that his sickness didn't affect his play on the field.

In the loss to the Falcons, the 26-year-old went 23-of-30 (76.7%) for 183 passing yards with one passing touchdown. He also added 13 rushes for 85 yards and another score.

He'll need to elevate his play on Sunday so the Eagles can come out with a road victory and improve to 2-1.

Currently, the Eagles are 2.5-point underdogs to the Saints according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
