The Philadelphia Eagles parted ways with star pass rusher Haason Reddick in April, sending him to the New York Jets for draft capital. It wasn’t shocking to see Reddick moved by Philly as he was looking for a new deal.

The 29-year-old pass rusher now heads to New York, hoping to get a new deal, and also racked up the sacks with the Jets. Reddick has posted 10 or more sacks in four straight seasons.

If the Jets can get that type of production from Reddick this season, it could make them one of the best defenses in the NFL. However, before we can look towards the start of the season, the Jets have to worry about Reddick showing up to the team facilities.

On Tuesday, ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported that the former Eagles pass rusher hasn’t attended the Jets’ voluntary workouts after being traded.

Cimini adds that Reddick hasn’t had any contact with Jets head coach Robert Saleh. However, Saleh isn’t worried about the veteran pass rusher’s absence.

"“I'm focused on the guys who are here and Haason's a pro. He's been in this league a while. He's produced it at a very high level for a long time. He's got his routine and if it makes people feel better, we know where he's at, we know what he's doing and we know he's working his tail off to get where he needs to get you to have a productive '24 season.”"

While it’s great to hear Saleh saying that the Jets aren’t worried about Reddick’s absence. The Jets will have to make a financial decision regarding Reddick in the coming weeks as training camp is right around the corner.

The Jets do not want that storyline lingering around the team, so it’s in the best interest of both parties to try and find common ground on the next steps. Meanwhile, the Eagles will hope that former Jets defensive end Bryce Huff, who they signed to an incredible three-year deal in free agency, can provide the same production that Reddick did for two seasons.
