1. Desmond King, Cornerback

Kevin Byard was a huge addition for Philadelphia and really shores up the back end of their secondary. That should help them quite a bit down the stretch but their cornerbacks have also had some issues this year.

James Bradberry has been struggling and Darius Slay has his lowest-ever PFF rating. The hope from Howie Roseman and the Eagles is that Byard being their deep safety will help them improve and it should. But they could also look to free agency to add another piece to the puzzle.

Desmond King II is currently without a job and has typically performed well wherever he's gone. Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, he spent three-and-a-half seasons there before being traded to the Tennessee Titans.

From there, King was with the Houston Texans for two years and then landed in Pittsburgh in 2023. He appeared in just three games before they released him and he's still looking for his next home.

King is a versatile defensive back who has played outside as well as in the nickel. In additon to this, he has played free safety as well. The seven-year vet has 426 tackles, nine interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns in 98 career games.
