Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Shaun Bradley is ready to return to the football field after missing the 2023 season due to a season-ending injury.

Bradley was signed to the Houston Texans practice squad on Wednesday. According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the former Eagles defender worked out for the Texans last week.

Before signing with the Texans, Bradley reportedly worked out for the Jacksonville Jaguars in August to kick off his comeback.

The 27-year-old Bradley was predominantly a core special teams player over his three-year stint with the Eagles. The former Temple defensive star was taken in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Bradley played 45 games with the Eagles, but only made one start in the 2021 season. The veteran defender played 69 percent of special teams snaps in his final year (2022) with the Birds. Overall, he had 45 combined tackles and a tackle for loss.

The former Temple star’s tenure in Philadelphia ended unceremoniously as he suffered a torn Achilles in last season’s preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens. Bradley has a great chance to get his career back on track with the Texans. As we know, Houston head coach DeMeco Ryans played for the Eagles.

Nonetheless, it won’t be easy for the former Eagles linebacker as he must prove he’s 100 percent healthy from his torn Achilles. If he can do that, Eagles fans will not be shocked to see Bradley on the Texans’ 53-man roster in no time.
