Eagles vs. Cardinals Week 17 Opening Odds Forecast Dominant Effort
By Joe Summers
The Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak on Christmas Day, defeating the Giants 33-25 while the Cowboys and 49ers both lost.
Philly now turns its attention to the woeful Cardinals in Week 17. Arizona is 1-4 in its last five games, giving the Eagles an edge after a difficult stretch of matchups.
Oddsmakers expect a convincing win for Philadelphia. Let's take a look and see how sportsbooks see the game going.
Cardinals vs. Eagles Week 17 Opening Odds
The Eagles are 10.5-point favorites with -650 moneyline odds and a total set at 48, so oddsmakers believe Philly wins somewhere in the neighborhood of 29-19.
While Kyler Murray is back under center for Arizona, the team as a whole is enduring a miserable season. They've covered the spread just once in their last four games and have no postseason aspirations, standing in stark contrast with a motivated Eagles squad.
That doesn't mean it'll be a cakewalk for Philadelphia though. The Eagles haven't covered the spread for four straight games with the defense giving up 20+ points in each contest.
Given the struggling defensive unit, a bet on the total may interest you as well. The over hit in each of the Eagles' last four home games and the offense has been vocal about its frustrations with execution overall.
Regardless, this shouldn't be too troublesome for the Eagles as they prepare for a playoff run.
