Eagles-Saquon Barkley Rumors Get One Last Update Before Free Agency
The time was finally arrived. Free agency! The legal tampering period is set to open at Noon ET and unrestricted free agents are able to speak to other teams around the league.
Running back Saquon Barkley will be one of the biggest players on the market and the Eagles are going to be serious players.
According to Michael Lombardi, Philadelphia has real interest in Barkley and will be suitors when tampering opens up at Noon.

Eagles News: Saquon and Philly Rumors Have Real Smoke
The Eagles head into free agency with $42.9 million in cap space and have the funds to be active in acquiring new players. Running back D'Andre Swift is scheduled to become a free agent as well so Philadelphia needs to sign a workhorse for 2024 and that's where Barkley comes into the fold.
The Penn State product has been with the New York Giants since 2018 and has established himself as one of the most explosive playmakers at his position.
The 27-year-old owns the breakaway speed to run away from defenders in the open field while using his reliable hands coming out of the backfield.
In six seasons, Barkley has compiled 5,211 rushing yards, 2,100 receiving yards, and 47 total touchdowns. After a disappointing end to the 2023 season, the Eagles are looking to add more difference-makers so it doesn't happen in 2024.
