The NFL offseason gives teams a chance to make moves to improve. Trade talks are leaked for multiple different reasons including trade leverage or to drive up the price of a specific player.

The Philadelphia Eagles could be doing something along those lines with a recent development. Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are taking calls on defensive end Josh Sweat.

Eagles Rumors: Philadelphia Put Josh Sweat on the Trade Block

This may come as a surprise for Eagles fans because they were already shopping edge Haason Reddick. Both Reddick and Sweat head into the final year of their respective deals so that could be a reason that Philadelphia is looking to move off them.

Sweat is an athletic defender who has the ability to play all three downs. The Florida State product can win with both power and speed.

The 2018 fourth-round pick has recorded 196 total tackles, 35 sacks, and seven forced fumbles in six seasons. The combination of age and production could certainly fetch a nice package for the Eagles.

Free agency is set to begin next week and the Eagles will be sitting on $42.9 million in cap space. Fans can expect them to be active on the open market and look to add more talent to an already stacked roster.
