Rocky star Sylvester Stallone is in town this weekend. Could we see him hyping up the crowd on Sunday afternoon for a big Birds game?

The Philadelphia Eagles host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field in one of the best games of the Sunday slate. Huge playoff implications are on the line as the winner of this contest could very well earn themselves a clear path to home-field advantage in the NFC, especially the one-loss Birds.

There should not be any extra inspiration needed to come out and play this game for the Eagles as the sportsbooks have the Niners as favorites by 3 points.

But you know who could have something to say to the boys before running out of the tunnel? The one and only Rocky Balboa.

Eagles News: Sylvester Stallone Delivering Pre-Game Hype on Rockie Day

Reports are that Rocky star Sylvester Stallone will be in Philadelphia promoting the film returning to theaters this holiday season. With him in town and him being a huge Eagles fan, could there be a sighting at the Link before the game kicks off?

If I’m the Eagles, I’m calling whoever I must to have him be in the locker room and on the field before the game. We can only imagine the words of inspiration he’d bring the players behind closed doors, but we know for a fact the amount of juice he’d give the fans at the Link just by his mere presence alone.

Regardless of if he or any other Philadelphia native shows up or not, Eagles fans will be ready for war in the rematch of last year’s NFC Championship game.
