There hasn't been a team more aggressive this offseason than the Philadelphia Eagles. After starting the 2023 season 10-1, they dropped six of their last seven games, falling 32-9 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round.

GM Howie Roseman made it his job to improve this roster and the mission is complete. The Eagles hit both free agency and the NFL Draft out of the park.

They filled holes along the defensive side and added quality difference-makers on offense. They also added depth and signed Mekhi Becton on April 28. The coaching staff already has plans for Becton in 2024.

Eagles News: Philadelphia Thinking of Changing Mekhi Becton's Position

Per Geoff Mosher of InsideBirds, the Eagles are trying to play Becton at guard this upcoming season. If he does line up there, he would be one of the largest players at that position.

The 25-year-old is listed at 6'7 and weighs 364 pounds. In his NFL career, Becton has only played left and right tackle. He started his career off with a bang but ended missing two straight seasons due to knee injuries.

Last year he returned to the field but struggled mightily. He finished with a 53.2 overall grade per PFF while being second in the league in penalties (18) and tied for first in sacks (12).

Coming into the league he was known for brute strength and using his long arms to keep defenders off balance. Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland is one of the best in the business and can get the most out of Becton.

The change of scenery and being in one of the top offensive line rooms could be a major boost for Becton. Even if it means switching his position.
