Eagles' NFLPA Report Card Provides Major Optimism for Franchise
By Jovan Alford
The NFLPA unveiled their annual player team report cards, where players vote and provide their commentary on various working conditions for their respective teams.
The Philadelphia Eagles got a favorable rating from the players despite the team failing to live up to expectations and losing six out of their last seven games. The Eagles were ranked fourth overall in the team survey, which is positive as head coach Nick Sirianni (sixth out of 32 teams) and the ownership (seventh out of 32) received A marks.
The players believe that Sirianni is “very willing” to listen to the locker room, which goes against what we’ve been hearing about the head coach over the last month or so.
However, there were a few categories that Philly needs to continue to improve on, such as the treatment of families [C] and team travel [C]. Last season, the Eagles graded out as a B- for the treatment of families and a D for team travel.
According to the Eagles’ 2024 report card, the players said they feel “crammed” in the back of the team, but the staff sits in its first class. Eagles players also feel the locker room is “outdated” and needs to be renovated.
As for the treatment of families, players want to see an upgrade in daycare for gameday to match what other teams across the NFL are doing.
Even though the 2023 season was an epic disaster for the Eagles, it’s good to see the players believe in what the organization is doing as a whole.
