The Eagles' defense is struggling in recent weeks and one former All-Pro just became available that Howie Roseman should add to the roster.

Carolina released Justin Houston, a 13-year veteran pass rusher with 112 career sacks, and he'd be the perfect low-cost addition to Philadelphia's defensive front.

If secondary reinforcements aren't on the way, Roseman might as well reinforce the line.

Eagles Rumors: Philly Needs to Sign Justin Houston

Houston made four Pro Bowls over his illustrious career and wants to finish out his years chasing a Super Bowl ring. Thus, the Eagles are a logical fit.

He spent the majority of his career with the Chiefs before spending time with the Colts, Ravens and now Panthers as well. Ironically, he's yet to play for an NFC team. That could soon change.

Philly has a loaded defensive line, but you can never use too many pass rushers. Houston's veteran savvy would let him seamlessly slide into the rotation without needing a bevy of snaps to execute.

Since he was released and wants to join a contender, it likely wouldn't require Roseman to break the bank to get Houston in green, either. These are the kinds of moves the Eagles' front office typically makes, and signing Houston could get the roster across the finish line into another Super Bowl.
