5. EDGE Derek Barnett

Veteran EDGE Derek Barnett is no stranger to hearing his name brought up in trade rumors, a deal remains a possibility once again ahead of this deadline.

Barnett is clearly not an important part of this defense, playing in just 21% of the available defensive snaps so far. Meanwhile, his involvement on special teams (24% of the snaps played) would actually mark a career-high, showing how much he's fallen out of favor.

The youth is ready to take over in Philadelphia, so there's no reason to keep around a remnant of the old regime, especially considering Barnett's 2023 play (3 total tackles, 1 solo).

For prospective teams, Barnett offers a veteran with plenty of experience (72 games, 45 starts) to mentor any D-line. He also previously helped the Eagles win a Super Bowl, giving contenders someone who knows what it takes to get to the game's biggest stage.

As Philly contemplates making another deal, sports bettors can snag one of their own at FanDuel Sportsbook. FD is giving new users $200 in guaranteed bonus bets for simply claiming the offer below and placing a first wager of $5. These credits won't be available long, though, so make sure you don't miss out!
