3. QB Marcus Mariota

Quarterbacks across the NFL are sure to pop up in trade rumors as the deadline approaches. Sure, a few starters could be moved, but the backup market is where fans are likely to see the most action as injuries and underperformers open up possible opportunities.

With both Marcus Mariota and Tanner McKee behind Jalen Hurts, Philly's in position to potentially take advantage of a desperate franchise.

Mariota has obvious appeal as a former top draft pick and player with 74 starts under his belt. He offers dual-threat potential thanks to his legs, bringing in a more dynamic contributor than other one-trick backups.

While his skills are enticing, it's worth wondering what Mariota truly has to give at this stage of his career. He flamed out in dramatic fashion with the Atlanta Falcons, and he was far from perfect as a starter previously for the Tennessee Titans. The vet hasn't even particularly impressed in Philadelphia, with McKee instead turning heads this preseason.

Roseman doesn't need to trade Mariota, and he certainly shouldn't if McKee is too green to start yet. But the latter's presence makes the former expendable if a good deal comes up, at the very least.
