The Philadelphia Eagles didn't make any major changes during their bye week, but they did announce an interesting roster move for Week 11 on Monday.

Bye weeks are often a time for NFL teams to make significant changes, since it's the only time in the regular season that they'll have a full two weeks to adapt before those changes are put to the test in live-game action. But when you're 8-1 like the Philadelphia Eagles, you don't typically want to make any major changes.

That doesn't mean the Eagles are being totally complacent, though. They already opened Week 11 by announcing a pair of roster moves, including one that may be familiar to die-hard Philly fans:

Eagles News: Ross Pierschbacher Signed, Kindle Vildor Released

The Eagles announced the signing of offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher to the practice squad as well as the release of defensive back Kindle Vildor to free up the roster space. These aren't exactly marquee moves, but that doesn't mean they're not important.

If Pierschbacher's name seems familiar to you, it's probably because this isn't his first stint with the Philly. He appeared in 3 games with the Eagles back in 2020, though he only played a grand total of 9 snaps (8 on special teams, 1 on offense).

The 2019 fifth-round pick spent last season on the New York Jets’ practice squad as well as the Detroit Lions’ practice squad and active roster, though he didn't play any offensive snaps all season.

If all goes according to plan, he also won't see the field in Philly. But sometimes things don't go according to plan, and that's why staying vigilant about keeping the practice squad well-stocked is so important.

The Eagles' coaching staff is familiar with Pierschbacher and clearly thinks he's worth having around. If we run into bad enough injury issues that a practice squad lineman needs to play, it's nice to know we have one who is already familiar with Philadelphia's system and who the coaches have some faith in.

Losing Kindle Vildor isn't exactly a big blow, either, as the 2020 fifth-round pick only spent a few weeks on the practice squad after being released by the Tennessee Titans. He played a few seasons for the Chicago Bears from 2020 to 2022, but a journeyman corner isn’t exactly a big need for the Eagles right now.

Philadelphia is rolling with the best record in the NFL, and while minor roster moves like this may not feel like they move the needle, it's good to see all this winning isn't making the team complacent.
