Eagles Just Got Gifted Perfect Addition Before 1st Preseason Game
The Philadelphia Eagles will be one of the most polarizing and intriguing teams this season. This roster is loaded with talent on both sides of the ball but they are looking to get over the hump.
The Eagles ended the 2023 season with a sour taste in their mouth after getting bounced in the Wild Card round.
They certainly want a different outcome and they were just gifted the perfect addition ahead of the first preseason game.
NFL News: Caden Sterns Was Released by the Denver Broncos
Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Denver Broncos are going to release safety Caden Sterns.
After being in Denver for three years, he will be suiting up for a different team in 2024. Last season, Sterns missed all but one game after suffering a torn patellar tendon. He also played in just five games during the 2022 season after he had a knee injury.
He will need to stay healthy on the field but he has the talent to make a positive impact. Sterns is a high-motor defender who takes great angles in pursuit.
During the 2021-22 seasons with the Broncos, he compiled 49 total tackles, nine pass deflections, and four interceptions.
Another underrated factor of this potential addition is that Sterns played under Vic Fangio as a rookie in 2021, which was his best season in the pros.
Due to his injury history, it wouldn't cost much to bring Sterns into town. He would be a perfect playmaker on the backend of the defense and provide Philly with a player who has familiarity within the scheme. That is tough to find during this time of the offseason.
If they money is right, this would be the perfect addition.
