The Philadelphia Eagles are getting ready for their huge Week 3 matchup against the undefeated New Orleans Saints. The red-hot offense led by Derek Carr has been carving defenses up so far and considering the way the Eagles' defense has struggled so far, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is facing a difficult challenge on Sunday.

One of the biggest disappointments so far this season for the Eagles has been the performance of Bryce Huff. The talented pass rusher who was acquired in the offseason to replace Haason Reddick, hasn't lived up to the expectations through two games. Eagles fans have been clamoring to bench Huff and have a different look on the edge. Fangio, however, dismissed this and confirmed that Huff would remain the starter for the time being.

Eagles News: Bryce Huff Will Remain The Starter

In Fangio's defense, this is understandable. The team invested in Huff and saw him as a long-term starter. Giving up on him after two weeks doesn't send the right message. Plus, as underwhelming as he has been, he is far from being the only problem on the defensive side of the football.

Huff played 30 defensive snaps in Week 1 and 32 in Week 2. He already has a smaller workload than Josh Sweat. He could potentially lose some snaps to Brandon Graham or Nolan Smith against the Saints. Smith has played a total of 54 defensive snaps so far this season and has looked much improved than his rookie year. Even if he doesn't start on the edge, he may have an increased share of the load in Week 3.

Regardless of who starts and how the snap distribution is done, the Eagles have to put more pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. That better start against Carr in New Orleans.
