The Philadelphia Eagles rolled into free agency with $42.9 million in cap space and were reportedly going to be aggressive in improving the roster.

They did exactly that when the legal tampering period opened at Noon E.T. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Eagles are going to sign former Jets defensive end Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51.1 million deal.

Eagles News: Philadelphia is Signing Bryce Huff

The Eagles have been shopping edge rushers Hasson Reddick and Josh Sweat so this addition shouldn't come as a surprise.

Huff is an ascending player who is coming off the best season of his career. In 2023, the Memphis product racked up 29 total tackles with a career-best 10 sacks.

The 25-year-old has a blazing quick get-off and uses his speed to bend around the edge. Philadelphia giving Huff $17 million per year is certainly eye-opening since he hasn't been a full-time player since entering the league.

Both Reddick and Sweat are heading into the final year of their deals but with the new addition of Huff, it looks like someone will be out of town over the next few weeks.

The Eagles have one of the best teams in the league and own a real shot of reaching Super Bowl LIX. They currently have the ninth-best odds in the NFL to win the whole thing at +2000. Head over to FanDuel Sportsbook, claim your sign-up bonus, and take advantage of these odds to back the Eagles.
