The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to make a few tweaks over the next few months to improve the roster. They ended last season on a sour note and are going to look into every avenue to add talent.

Additionally, edge rusher Haason Reddick's name is being brought up in trade talks around the league.

Reddick is heading into the final year of a three-year, $45 million deal but has his sights set on getting a raise. The Eagles have given the Temple product permission to seek a trade and talks are heating up at the NFL Scouting Combine.

The Eagles currently own the No. 22 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and ESPN's Mel Kiper has them addressing the Reddick issues in his newest mock draft.

Eagles Mock Draft: Kiper Projects Laiatu Latu in Round 1

Philadelphia is thinking of the future in Kiper's latest mock draft. He has them picking UCLA EDGE Laiatu Latu in the first round at No. 22 overall. Latu (6-foot-5, 265 pounds) has ideal size and quickness coming off the edge.

The California native has a blazing burst off the line and owns a range of pass-rush moves to get past offensive linemen. He made the most impact as a Bruin from 2022-23. In those two seasons, Latu finished with 51 total tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 23.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles.

With uncertainty around Reddick and team legend Brandon Graham entering his final NFL season, it makes a ton of sense for Philly to be proactive and add another young edge rusher to play alongside Nolan Smith.

The Eagles have always been an organization that drafts positions before they become a glaring need, especially in the trenches, and they would accomplish that here.

Fans might be disappointed if the Eagles don't address the secondary on Day One of the draft, but a big cornerback addition in free agency could still happen before they're on the clock.
