Round 5, Pick 178: Kenny Logan Jr., S, Kansas

Ahead of the 2023 NFL Trade Deadline, the Eagles went after Kevin Byard. Adding the former Tennessee Titans safety seemed to be the missing piece for their secondary but things didn't work out. Philadelphia continued to surrender completions at an alarming rate and Byard was released after the season ended.

They have some in-house options with Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown but they need more depth. With their final pick in the fifth round, the Eagles grab some depth with Kenny Logan, Sr. A converted cornerback, Logan could offer some decent coverage skills even if he wasn't at the combine.

Round 6, Pick 189: Sam Hartman, QB, Notre Dame

Jalen Hurts isn't going anywhere anytime soon but the Eagles might need a new backup. Marcus Mariota is set for free agency and if he leaves, that means only Tanner McKee will be behind Hurts. That's why the final pick for them in this mock is used to add Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman.

One of the few quarterbacks to compete in all the drills in Indy, Hartman is older than most rookies after spending five seasons at Wake Forest and one year with the Irish. He has solid numbers overall but dealt with bouts of inconsistency. Still, there's enough there to believe he can become a QB2 at some point.
