Round 3, Pick 97: Blake Corum, RB, Michigan

Back on the clock in Round 3, the Eagles bring in another Michigan product. This time, they target running back Blake Corum who was the focal point of the NCAA Championship team’s offense.

He ended his final season in Ann Arbor with 1,245 yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground. At 5-foot-8 and 205 pounds, he's a compact runner who might not do any one thing exceptionally well but he doesn't have many negatives either. He was a steady and consistent runner for Michigan and will remain so in the pros.

Philly has to decide what to do with D’Andre Swift, who enters free agency, but even if he re-signs, there's enough room for both backs to get their touches.

Round 5, Pick 160: Cedric Johnson, EDGE, Ole Miss

Haason Redick was given permission to seek a trade partner this offseason but he's come out and said he doesn't want to leave. Reddick has 27 sacks over the past two seasons and is looking for an extension, which likely led to this game of chicken. But as long as he's on the team, EDGE won't be a major need. Even so, they could still stand to add some depth.

That's where Cedric Johnson from Ole Miss comes in. Standing 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, Johnson is built like a linebacker but excels at rushing the passer — similar to Reddick. He doesn't have the same production with 19 sacks in four years but there are traits that can be developed.
