The rumor mill surrounding the ongoing coaching carousel in the NFL is working overtime. The uncertainty of the Philadelphia Eagles' coaching staff for the next season remains unresolved but we finally have a better idea of the situation.

Eagles Rumors: Nick Sirianni Remaining As Head Coach

Adam Schefter had the latest during the halftime broadcast of the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans Eagles game, saying "All signs point to Nick Sirianni staying".

"Right now, Nick Sirianni still has a job, and it is trending to staying that way."

Even though Sirianni's job status has been under scrutiny ever since the disastrous 32-9 loss in the Wild Card game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this news isn't particularly surprising.

Sirianni has led the Eagles to three straight postseasons and the team has been consistently dominant during his tenure until the second half of the 2023 season.

His coordinator, however, will not be so lucky.

Schefter indicated that Sean Desai and Matt Patricia are likely not going to be in Philadelphia next year. This was to be expected after the Eagles defense completely fell apart, forcing them to switch up play-calling duties mid-season.

Offensive coordinator Brian Johnson's future is unknown as he already interviewed for three NFL head coaching openings.

Sirianni hasn't talked to the media about his situation but was scheduled to meet with owner Jeff Lurie on Friday. These reports certainly signal that the meeting went well.

How Sirianni and GM Howie Roseman are going to fill the rest of the coaching staff remains to be seen.
