Round 2, Pick 1: Adisa Isaac, EDGE, Penn State

Over the past two seasons, Haason Reddick has been the best pass rusher Philadelphia's had. The former Arizona Cardinals linebacker put up 16 sacks in 2022 and followed that up with 11 more this past season. However, they now enter the offseason unsure if he will be back in 2024.

Reddick recently asked to be traded and the Eagles have allowed him to seek a partner. If he leaves, they’ll be thin on the edge — especially if Brandon Graham, who will be 36, decides to retire. Josh Sweat did have 6.5 sacks, which is encouraging, but Nolan Smith — their first round pick in 2023 — had just 18 tackles and one sack.

Philly will expect more from Smith going forward but they should continue to add pass rushers, especially if Reddick does wind up elsewhere. That’s why they use their first of two picks in the second round on Adisa Isaac from Penn State.

As a redshirt senior, Isaac had 7.5 sacks for the Nittany Lions this past season. Not known as an explosive player, Isaac has good hand technique and is comfortable in either a two or three-point stance. His ceiling might not be incredibly high but his floor isn’t very low, making him a safe pick at this spot.
