Eagles' 2025 Super Bowl Odds are Disrespectful

After an ugly ending to the 2023 season, the oddsmakers don't love the Philadelphia Eagles' chances to win the Super Bowl.

The Philadelphia Eagles’ 2023 season ended on a sour note after starting 10-1 through the first 11 games. The Eagles lost six out of their last seven contests, including a disappointing 23-point road playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philadelphia came into this season with a lot of promise after making it to the Super Bowl last season and falling three points short against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, it wasn’t in the cards for them to make a deep playoff run for the second consecutive season.

The good news for the Eagles and their fans is it's always next year, and we know the team will do everything in their power to get back to the Super Bowl in 2024.

With one game left in the NFL season, we already have Super Bowl odds for next season, and Eagles fans might be shocked to see where the oddsmakers have them at.

Eagles News: Oddsmakers Hesitant to Make Philadelphia Super Bowl Favorites

The Eagles are tied with the Detroit Lions at 17/1 odds (+1700) on FanDuel Sportsbook to win Super Bowl 59 next season. Philadelphia has the third-best odds to take home the Lombardi Trophy behind the Dallas Cowboys (+1500) and the San Francisco 49ers (+450).

While it’s not a surprise to see the 49ers with the best odds to win the Super Bowl next season, it’s disrespectful for the oddsmakers to have the Eagles behind the Cowboys.

If Philadelphia hadn’t collapsed down the stretch over the last two months, the Eagles would’ve won the NFC East for the second straight year. Also, Dallas hasn’t been to the NFC title game since 1995, which was the last time they won a Super Bowl.

Now granted, we saw the Eagles play poorly on both sides of the ball en route to a bad showing in the playoffs. However, Philadelphia has already made significant changes to its coaching staff, bringing in Vic Fangio and Kellen Moore as their defensive and offensive coordinators.

Moore and Fangio are instant upgrades over Brian Johnson and Sean Desai, which should get the Eagles back on track. Outside of coaching changes, Philadelphia also has a bunch of free agents who played an integral role this season and might not return in 2024.

However, the Eagles still have a solid core led by franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts, who should play better next season after a turnover-plagued 2023 season. Nevertheless, it’s not all gloom and doom for the Eagles, who had preseason Super Bowl odds of +750 before the 2023 season kicked off.

If they can get back to the style of play we saw in 2022, Philadelphia could be back in contention for a Super Bowl. However, they must make those key free-agent signings on defense and clean up those deficiencies that ail them this season.

17-to-1 odds (+1700) are disrespectful from where this team was a couple of years ago. But it might be a blessing in disguise for Eagles fans and bettors looking to get a good number on a team that’s one of the best in the NFC.

That kind of payout gets especially interesting when you take advantage of FanDuel's limited-time $200 bonus. just bet $5 on San Francisco vs. Kansas City, and if your team wins you get your usual cash winnings plus a $200 bonus. Putting some of that bonus on the Eagles to win it all next year is going to be a popular move in Philly.
