Eagles 2023 Schedule: Predicting the Score of Every Remaining Game
By Randy Gurzi
Week 13: 49ers @ Eagles - Dec. 3rd
The San Francisco 49ers are not as scary as they once were. They started out the season at 5-0 and had a massive win over the Dallas Cowboys, 42-10. From there, they lost three games in a row, which began with a 19-17 defeat in Cleveland. The Browns might be 6-3 but that loss was with P.J. Walker under center, which showed the flaws this team has.
From there, they were handed losses by the Minnesota Vikings and then the Cincinnati Bengals. In Week 10, they got back on track and took it to the Jacksonville Jaguars. They won easily 34-3, which has people forgetting about the porous stretch they just had. Facing the Bucs in Week 11 and a divisional rival, Seattle, in Week 12 will likely give them even more false hope.
That plays right into the hands of the Eagles, who are built to beat teams such as the 49ers. Known for a strong pass rush — which got better with the additions of Chase Young and Randy Gregory — as well as great linebackers, the Niners can punish teams that focus on intermediate plays. They can also crush a quarterback if he's not mobile.
Enter Jalen Hurts, who's not going to be standing still and waiting for the pass rush to get to him. They also have A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, who can expose the secondary. With that being the case, they do enough to walk away with another win. It won't be easy and the scoring will be tough, but in the end, the Eagles should be able to handle this team.
Score Prediction: Eagles 19, 49ers 10
Record 10-2
