The vibes aren't high in Philadelphia right now but things are worse down south for a team in the AFC. The Jacksonville Jaguars are 0-4 to start the year and had a gut-wrenching loss on Sunday against the Houston Texans.

Tensions are always high after a loss but Jacksonville's head coach Doug Pederson took a jab at his players. Pederson's decision won't go over well in the locker room and could have sealed his fate.

Doug Pederson Throws His Players Under the Bus

After Sunday's game, Pederson was asked if he should take playcalling duties from offensive coordinator Press Taylor. He defended Taylor but in the process, he took a jab at his players.

"As coaches, we can't go out there and make the plays, right? It's a two-way street. So, you know, you guys can sit here and point the finger all you want and it's fine. Point it right at me. I can take it. OK. I can take it. So whatever you want to ask me, say whatever, write, go ahead."

Pederson saying the coaches can't make the plays is a massive shot at his players. But regardless of what he says, he's the head coach so things will fall on him.

Jacksonville has lost nine of their last 10 games, dating back to last season. What makes things worse is that Trevor Lawrence has regressed, losing nine straight games. He's only completing 53% of his throws for 729 yards and four passing scores. The Clemson product has thrown for less than 180 yards in three of the four games this season.

After four games, the Jags are 26th in total offense (285.5), 29th in passing offense (159.3), and tied for 30th in scoring offense (15).

The way things are trending right now Pederson will be out of a job soon. And he only has himself to blame, not the players.
