The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off of two straight games where they got dominated from start to finish by seemingly better teams. Those games were against the San Francisco 49ers in Philly and the Dallas Cowboys down in Jerry World. The Eagles are still in a good spot, though, clinching a playoff berth by winning Monday night in Seattle. However, if that is going to happen, this team has to gel back together and fill plenty of holes that have been exposed.

Eagles fans took to the streets to show how they felt. You may remember seeing a visual going around the internet of a trash can with a sign on it reading "Big Game Slay," referring to cornerback Darius Slay.

Well, Slay saw it too, and he disagrees.

Eagles News: Darius Slay Defends Himself, Says Team Played Like "S---"

Slay didn't hold back, and he was honest in a way you don't usually see from NFL players. These guys usually have a team-first answer to every question, whether they believe what they're saying or not.

Not Slay:

"Overall the game was great by me, but as a team we ain’t play worth a s**t!"

Darius Slay

He may have a point, folks.

On paper, Slay did not do much in the blowout the Cowboys handed the Birds. That's mostly because he was avoided. He had 4 tackles and defended against 3 passes, but that is all because of the Cowboys ability to find success using the rest of the field. At the end of the day, this is a team sport and the unit as a whole failed miserably. That being said, Slay himself handled his business about as well as anyone could.

Slay is a fun follow on social media. He plays the game with the fans, as you can tell by him changing his profile picture to the trash can with his name on it. But you can also tell he cares about this team and he wants to win. He'll need to be at his best once again as the Birds enter a hostile environment on Monday night.
