The Philadelphia Eagles will have a new play caller on offense next season as the team hired Kellen Moore to be their next offensive coordinator. Moore was with the Los Angeles Chargers last season as their offensive coordinator and the Dallas Cowboys before that.

Moore will work with an Eagles’ offense that was ranked seventh in scoring (25.5 points per game) this season but didn’t have the same consistency we saw from them in 2022.

In an appearance on Up & Adams on Wednesday, Kay Adams asked Eagles star wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown about a variety of topics, including Moore.

Smith gave a funny response when Adams asked them if they had one wish for Moore heading into next season. “Just let us do what we do. Like anybody else would say, just get us the ball.”

Smith and Brown chuckled when Smith gave his answer, but it was pretty straightforward. This season, the Eagles' offense left a lot of big plays on the board and could’ve done more to get the ball to Smith and Brown.

However, the good news for Smith and Brown is Moore knows how to diagram plays to get his playmakers the ball. We didn’t see it with the Chargers, as Mike Williams was hurt, but Keenan Allen had 108 receptions (150 targets) for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns.

When Moore called plays in Dallas, we saw CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and Dalton Schultz have big performances. That being said, Eagles fans should be excited to see what Smith and Brown can do next season, who both had 1,000-plus receiving yards and scored 14 combined touchdowns.
